If you haven’t experienced Barefoot Books Sing-a-long books, Over in the Meadow is a
great starter book. The vivid text and colorful and clever country-themed illustrations,
children ages 3-7 will enjoy the bouncy rhythms of this traditional English counting song.
The CD has both audio and visual, but the book also perfect as an unplugged bedtime
story.

Mary Shields writes for several family magazines and other
publications and also works as a consultant in the areas of
environmental sustainability, public health and vaccines. She is an
avid travel writer, specializing in family travel and family-friendly
destinations and products. Mary has a BA in Journalism from Temple
University, an MS in Organizational Dynamics from University of
Pennsylvania, and a Master of Public Health from Johns Hopkins
University. She has a five-year-old daughter, an incredible husband
and two naughty shelter dogs; they live outside of Baltimore.
