Father's Day Gifts for Dad that Kids Can Make - T-Shirts for Dad and Grandad

It is that time of year again.  Time to celebrate Fatherhood and and make dads feel special on Father's Day.  We have an easy, affordable gift you can make with your kids for dad that he will appreciate and use again and again.  It is an original t-shirt recognizing dad or what dad loves to do.

We have created several different t-shirt designs for dad and grandad so you can give dad a special shirt he can wear throughout the year to remember how much you appreciate him.

Just pick a design below you like and click on it to go to the instructions and printable design. You will need a t-shirt, iron-on printable paper, scissors and an iron.

You can find 100% cotton t-shirts at most any retailer or discount store. As an example, Target has 100% brushed cotton t-shirts in white and darker colors for $7.99 and they feel great and very thick.

As far as the iron-on transfers go we have tried many of the brands and types of t-shirt transfers (iron-ons) and the one that has the best color and last after many washes is Avery Ink Jet T-Shirt Transfers with New Color Shield Formula(it says no cracking and color that lasts) and we have found when you follow the directions you will have great results with this particular iron-on. Most office supply stores and some stores like Walmart or Target carry this Avery product.

Father's Day Crafts that Kids Can Make and Dads Really Like

With Father's Day fast approaching, kids everywhere will be searching for that perfect gift for dad.  And what can be more perfect than something made from your own child's hands.

At Ziggity Zoom, our editors have come up with two great, creative gifts that kids can make for dad.  Both projects employ "around the house" materials, so no shopping should be necessary.  Fathers young and old will appreciate the functionality of these gifts.  The first gift for dad, that even preschoolers can make, is a great-looking, rustic pencil holder.  Kids start by gathering small twigs and the only other materials needed are empty cardboard tubes and glue.  www.ziggityzoom.com/activities.php  It's hard to believe that these materials can turn into such a neat gift.  Keep this project in mind also for Christmas gifts, home schooling projects and cub scouts.
